If you are learning anachronistic Iaido, or simply a modern take on the traditional method.perhaps online resources may work for you - but from a Koryu standpoint, I would advise against it.
Not to be crass, but if you are learning from an individual or school who simply says “this is Iaido.” without any explanation to school or lineage (Mugai Ryu Iaido, for example), I would take a hard look at where the techniques are coming from, if your goal is traditional Iaido. If I recommend resources from my school of Mugai Ryu, this will not help (and may be a detriment) to your specific school of Iaido. On another note, generally saying “Iaido” covers the incredibly broad spectrum of schools involving “the art of drawing the sword”. I would encourage you to keep practicing only what you have learned thus far, and save new techniques for personal instruction and critique.
